To reach the sluice, swim parallel to the dike in a southeast direction. It takes about ten minutes to reach the structure, which starts at a depth of approximately 6 meters. The approach includes diving over a shallow plateau before descending into deeper waters.
Be mindful of the conditions; visibility can decrease significantly when the sluice is in operation. You can check from the shore to see if water is being released, which indicates reduced visibility.
Warnings: Dreischor Gemaal can get busy, so arrive early to secure your spot. The entrance point has slippery stones, so take care when entering and exiting the water (rope). Remember to put on your fins in the water to keep the entry area clear for others. Watch out for fishing nets in the vicinity.
